Previous Projects
1999
Graduated in Dance at Escola Superior de Dança and began choreographic creation. Final course piece selected and presented at Fontys Dance Festival, Netherlands.
2000/2001
Invited to create a piece for Escola Superior de Dança, presented in 2001 for Porto European Capital of Culture.
2004/2005
Created the piece “Branco”, presented in 2005 at Escena Contemporánea Festivals (Spain) and, supported by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, at Edinburgh Festival Fringe (Scotland).
2007
Created the piece “Delicado”, presented in Luxembourg, European Capital of Culture.
2008
Presented “Delicado” at Ramallah Contemporary Dance Festival (Palestine). During stay in Palestine and Israel, researched for the creation of “I Can’t”.
2009
Presented “I Can’t” at MPPM programming and at Teatro da Politécnica, Lisbon.
2010
Artistic residencies at Devir/Capa (Algarve) and Madeira, teaching at Companhia Dançando com a Diferença. Created “Veralipsi” presented at Instituto Franco-Português; later reworked as “Mute” at Galeria Graça Brandão (Lisbon).
2011
Created transdisciplinary piece “How can you see my movement if it is not perceptible to the eye” in collaboration with Australian visual artist Rochelle Haley.
2012
Created “A Cabra Bailarina”, presented at Fábrica das Artes/CCB, Centro Cultural de Ílhavo, Festival Dansul, among others.
2013-2015
Created “Tempo do Corpo”, performed on various national stages. Also invited to create pieces for “Breaking Walls With Culture” project with 66 youth from Italy, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, and Spain.
2016
Created “Natural”, which inspired a documentary by Luís Piranha Gonçalves, presented at DocLisboa 2016.
2018/2019
Collaborated with theatre company Inestética on choreography and movement for “Noir” by Alexandre Lyra Leite, presented at Festival ContraDANÇA 2019.
2020
Collaborated with composer Carlos Marecos to create choreography for musical piece “Tríptico”, presented at Dança Invisível and Gaivotas em Marvila festivals.
2021
Created the piece “Interior Presente”, presented at Festival Dança Invisível.
2022
Invited to create contemporary dance collective “Paraíso” at mental health institution CASP/SCMC.
2023
With Paraíso collective, developed a piece presented at Museu da Música Portuguesa.
2024
Co-created “All About The Same” at Galeria Graça Brandão and started creation of “(Re)Thinking the Body” for Paraíso collective, presented at IX Mental Festival, Cinema São Jorge, Lisbon.
